牛郎和織女的故事，相信很多小朋友在家都聽(tīng)爸爸媽媽或是爺爺奶奶講過(guò)，在學(xué)校，或許語(yǔ)文老師也講過(guò)七夕節(jié)的來(lái)歷，但是，很多人不知道怎樣用英語(yǔ)講述七夕節(jié)的來(lái)歷。今天奇速君就和小伙伴們一起來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)一下--------用英語(yǔ)解釋七夕節(jié)的各種表達(dá)！

在這之前奇速君知道很多人陽(yáng)歷陰歷傻傻分不清楚，心中有個(gè)疑問(wèn)？

今天不是8月28日嗎？

中國(guó)的七夕不是在七月七日嗎？


不知道大家注意到?jīng)]有：其實(shí)中英文對(duì)月份的取名方式是不一樣的。英語(yǔ)是采用專(zhuān)有名詞來(lái)稱(chēng)謂每一個(gè)月，比如1月是January，2月是February等等，而中文則使用簡(jiǎn)單的數(shù)字來(lái)標(biāo)記1月、2月、3月等等。要注意的是：這些都是公歷或陽(yáng)歷或太陽(yáng)歷，用英語(yǔ)說(shuō)就是the solar calendar.另外，我們中國(guó)還用農(nóng)歷或陰歷或月歷，用英文說(shuō)是the lunar calendar.

顯然我們上面說(shuō)的這些月份的英語(yǔ)都是指的是陽(yáng)歷。因此如果說(shuō)到我們漢語(yǔ)中的陰歷幾月就不能用上面的月份名稱(chēng)了，而是要用序數(shù)詞表達(dá)。

比如：陰歷二月，就不能說(shuō)February，而是the second month on the lunar calendar或者簡(jiǎn)單的說(shuō)成the second lunar month.

比如中國(guó)的七夕情人節(jié)就是在農(nóng)歷七月初七。如果要告訴外國(guó)朋友，就不能說(shuō)the seventh of July,而要說(shuō)成the seventh of the seventh lunar month.

我們中國(guó)的中秋節(jié)是在農(nóng)歷八月十五，用英文表達(dá)應(yīng)該是the fifteenth of the eighth lunar month.同樣，中國(guó)的春節(jié)是農(nóng)歷一月初一，正確表達(dá)應(yīng)該是the first of the first lunar month.因此，談到中國(guó)的農(nóng)歷傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日，我們都要采用類(lèi)似的表達(dá)，而不能用專(zhuān)有月份名稱(chēng)。

不知不覺(jué)中奇速君就給大家普及了一下陽(yáng)歷和陰歷表達(dá)節(jié)日，我們?cè)僬f(shuō)說(shuō)七夕故事的？

如今七夕節(jié)的標(biāo)配是燭光玫瑰巧克力，但最開(kāi)始這個(gè)節(jié)日卻不是情人節(jié)哦。

七夕節(jié)也稱(chēng)“乞巧節(jié)”，是閨中女子向織女祈求智慧和巧技的日子。姑娘們祈禱自己能有一雙織女般的巧手，尋得一位如意郎君。
But qixi wasn’t a festival for lovers until recently. It was initially a time for unwed women to beg the weaving goddess for domestic skills. They’d also pray for a good husband.
慢慢地，坊間開(kāi)始流傳牛郎織女的故事，為七夕節(jié)添上了一抹浪漫色彩。


Falling on the seventh day of seventh lunar month, the Double Seventh Festival in China, also known as Qixi Festival, is what Valentine’s Day to the western countries. As it is a day of great importance to girls, the event is also called Young Girls’ Festival. Because of the beautiful legend about Niu Lang and Zhi Nv, the festival has been endowed with the meaning of great romance.

中國(guó)農(nóng)歷的“雙七”，即農(nóng)歷七月初七就是七夕節(jié)，相當(dāng)于西方國(guó)家的情人節(jié)。由于這一天對(duì)女孩來(lái)說(shuō)很重要，所以這個(gè)活動(dòng)也被稱(chēng)為少女節(jié)。因?yàn)殛P(guān)于牛郎和織女的美麗傳說(shuō)，這個(gè)節(jié)日被賦予了偉大的浪漫意義。

Legend of Niu Lang and Zhi Nu

牛郎和織女的傳說(shuō)

As one of the Chinese four folk legends concerning love, the legend of Niu Lang and Zhi Nv features the Double Seventh Festival.

作為中國(guó)四大民間傳說(shuō)之一，牛郎和織女的傳說(shuō)是七夕節(jié)的特色。

It is said that Niu Lang was a cowboy who had a kind heart even though he was without living parents. Living with his brother and brother-in-law, he was maltreated. One day, after having been driven out of his home, an old man (in fact a supernatural being), guided him to the sick cattle from heaven. With great care from Niu Lang, the cattle recovered. In order to show gratitude to Niu Lang, the cow helped him get acquainted with Zhi Nu - a fairy from the heaven. They fell in love with each other and married to live a happy life with Niu Lang planting in the field while Zhi Nv did weaving at home. They were also magically given a boy and a girl. However, good times didn’t last long because Zhi Nv’s deeds were known by the king of the heaven who took her back to heaven. With the cow’s help, Niu Lang flew to heaven along with his two children as they chased their wife and mother. It was just at that moment before he could reach Zhi Nv that the queen of the heaven created a huge river between them. Tears from the two flowed continuously so that even the queen was moved. As a result, she allowed them to meet only on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month every year.

據(jù)說(shuō)牛郎是一個(gè)沒(méi)有父母但心地善良的放牛娃。他和他的兄弟和姐夫住在一起，但整天受到虐待。有一天，他被趕出家門(mén)，一個(gè)老人(實(shí)際上是一個(gè)神仙)把他帶到了天上的一頭病牛那里。這頭病牛從牛郎那里得到悉心的照顧。為了表達(dá)對(duì)牛郎的感激之情，這頭老牛幫助他認(rèn)識(shí)了“仙女”。他們彼此相愛(ài)并結(jié)為夫妻，牛郎上山種地，織女在家織布，他們幸福的生活著。他們還神奇地生下了一名男孩和一名女孩。然而，幸福時(shí)光并沒(méi)有持續(xù)太久，因?yàn)樗麄兊氖卤煌跄钢�道了，她就把織女帶回了天上。在老牛的幫助下，牛郎和他的兩個(gè)孩子飛到天上追他們的妻子和母親。就在他要追上織女的那一刻，王母在他們之間畫(huà)出一條大河使他們無(wú)法相見(jiàn)。兩個(gè)人隔河相望彼此痛哭流涕，最后甚至王母也被感動(dòng)了。因此，她允許他們每年在農(nóng)歷七月初七見(jiàn)面。

Therefore, the day when Niu Lang and Zhi Nv meet is the present Double Seventh Festival.

因此，牛郎和織女見(jiàn)面的日子就是現(xiàn)在的七夕節(jié)。

Customs

習(xí)俗

While the customs of this festival varies according to the different regions, the same hope is cherished by all.

雖然這個(gè)節(jié)日的習(xí)俗因不同的地區(qū)而不同，但人們都抱有同樣的期望。

The most prevalent custom is that of girls praying to Zhi Nv for skillful hands for sewing. Because Zhi Nu is regarded as a beautiful woman deft at weaving, in the evening of the festival, girls sew some articles to compete with each other and prepare some delicious fruits to worship Zhi Nu in order to be endowed with the masterly sewing skill. Not only hoping for this skill, they also pray to have a sweet love.

最流行的習(xí)俗是女孩們向織女祈禱獲得一雙巧手。因?yàn)榭椗�被認(rèn)為是一個(gè)美麗的女人，在這個(gè)節(jié)日的晚上，女孩們會(huì)縫紉一些物品來(lái)互相比賽，并準(zhǔn)備一些美味的水果來(lái)祭拜織女，以獲得精湛的縫紉技巧。她們不僅希望能夠擁有一手好縫紉，還祈禱自己能夠有一份甜蜜的愛(ài)情。

In the rural regions, people usually see the meeting of Niu Lang and Zhi Nv as two stars in the sky. At the same time, the old people tell the young about this old love legend. Unfortunately, this is not popular in cities nowadays.

在農(nóng)村地區(qū)，人們通常把牛郎和織女的會(huì)面看成是天上的兩顆星星。與此同時(shí)，老人告訴年輕人這個(gè)古老的愛(ài)情傳說(shuō)。不幸的是，這在現(xiàn)代城市已經(jīng)不太流行了。

In the Chinese cities, the Western Valentine’s Day is more favored than the Double Seventh Festival by young people. They spend the latter as the Valentine’s Day. Although some traditional customs have been changed or been lost, the legend of Niu Lang and Zhi Nv is still passed down from generation to generation. Like the presents of Valentine’s Day, flowers and chocolates are also the popular ones.

在中國(guó)城市里，西方的情人節(jié)在年輕人眼中比七夕節(jié)更受歡迎。他們把七夕作為情人節(jié)。雖然一些傳統(tǒng)習(xí)俗已經(jīng)被改變或消失了，但牛郎和芝女的傳說(shuō)仍然代代相傳。就像情人節(jié)的禮物一樣，鮮花和巧克力在七夕也是最受歡迎的。

Whatever way the festival is spent, great love is expressed between the young.

不管節(jié)日是怎么度過(guò)的，都體現(xiàn)出年輕人之間的美好愛(ài)情。
